Revisit ovalbumin-based immune monitoring:

  • Easy sourcing: MHC Dextramer® reagents designed to detect T-cell responses to OVA, like SIINFEKL-loaded MHC Dextramer® reagents, are easily ordered in our webshop.

  • Exceptional avidity: Thanks to the flexible Dextramer® backbone, even T cells with low affinity for OVA are detected for analysis.

  • Reliable results: High quality Dextramer® reagents ensure reliable experimental outcomes.

  • High signal: The multiple fluorophores per Dextramer® backbone enhance staining intensity for a clear signal and minimal background noise.

Ovalbumin (OVA) is a non-toxic and inert model protein used to study antigen-specific immune responses in mouse models. The OVA-derived peptide SIINFEKL has a high binding affinity to MHC and is therefore, a well-established tool to monitor antigen presentation and T cell responses in vitro and in vivo.

Furthermore, OVA is expressed by multiple syngeneic mouse cancer models to facilitate strong tumor immune responses. Loading SIINFEKL monomers to MHC Dextramer® reagent is a powerful alternative to H-2Kb antibodies and SIINFEKL MHC tetramers commonly used for detection or T cell stimulation. The enhanced avidity of MHC Dextramer® can reveal T cell subsets that go undetected by other reagents and ensure reproducibility and consistency of results.
